Modern Art Studio (in progress)

A well known Chicago artist approached us with her vision for her new studio in Northern California. She wanted a space that is just as flexible and creative as she is. We crafted a design that would allow her not only a double-height studio, but that also incorporates a kitchenette and small living quarters for guests. However, the design is much more, it’s a flexible space that has folding interior doors that link all the bottom level floors together, creating a grand space for entertaining featuring sweeping views of the famous Mt. Shasta. The studio is one part workspace, one part entertaining space, one part guest residence and all parts creativity in motion.
